The journey of understanding

Sun Jun 8, 2008, 6:59 AM
The holy journey of understanding is an impressively remarkable trip composed of 5 steps. Simple yet amazingly enlightening.
It starts with a book. A small white book to be precise. Written by an English author named George Orwell and published in 1949 entitled “Nineteen Eighty-Four”.
Then would come two things -an album by a British band, and a DC Comics movie- which are basically dealing with ideas taken directly from the same little white book. These would be Pink Floyd’s "The Wall" and “V for Vendetta” respectively.
Now and as we are getting closer to the end of our mind bogglingly exciting journey, I’d like to conclude with two more movies, documentaries this time though. Starting with Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” and directly afterwards “Zeitgeist”.
Only then my fellow aliens, you would realize that your knowledge of the world you live in is exactly as much as the tea leaf knows about the east India company.
And as an outro, I would to quote from a historical figure from the golden age of enlightenment.
“"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.“ -- Socrates
Finally, I hereby state that I am a completely ignorant human being.

  • Listening to: The wall since yesterday
  • Watching: Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy
  • Eating: White toast
  • Drinking: Coke
